2017 sees the first time Ignite Sport has had the opportunity to run an in-school programme for students with a disability.
Lara Andrews is a current NZ White Sox player and was the first New Zealand woman to play in the United States professional league (Pennsylvania Rebellion).
"The unique quality that I love about Ignite Sport is that is provides a holistic approach to youth development through sport, by offering opportunities for athletes to receive valuable instruction, to have exposure to mentors in the community and to inspire youth to build confidence and self-esteem."
